The Tiewelt Wildlife Foundation’s Queensland Awards are designed to recognise the hard work and dedication of wildlife volunteers and rescue groups operating throughout the state.

Each of our ten awards will have one winner and up to two Notable Recipients, with awards presented at our annual awards gala.

Recognises wildlife rescues that serve the state’s wildlife with dedication and compassion throughout the year.

Award Prizes

Each category award winner will receive:

  • Cash prize

Awards Nomination Process

Nominations open four months before the Awards Gala and close four weeks later.

The judging panel will review all nominations, narrowing them to three nominees per category. Unsuccessful nominees will be notified in writing, while shortlisted nominees will be invited to an interview to share more about their work. These videos will be showcased at the Awards Gala and promoted on our social media channels in the lead-up, highlighting the 30 shortlisted nominees.

The judging panel’s final decisions will be announced at the Awards Gala.
